LEGO Ultimate Collector Series R2-D2 coming soon

LEGO Ultimate Collector Series R2-D2 coming soon
R2-D2 is probably the most popular and loved characters in the Star Wars universe, so when we say it's about time the robot got its own LEGO set - we're pretty sure nobody is going to disagree. Well, it looks like our wishes have come true as the folks over at LEGO have revealed the LEGO Ultimate Collector Series R2-D2. Soon you'll be able to buy a kit and assemble R2-D2 right out of the box as opposed to coming up with your own plans and finding the right pieces to come up with the droid DIY-style.

The Ultimate Collector Series R2-D2 is made from over 2,100 pieces of LEGO, features a realistic rotating head and even has a retractable third leg! No, it won't project holograms of Princess Leia, neither will it beep at you to communicate - but it does make one pretty awesome prop for your desk. The LEGO R2-D2 should cost about $250 when it goes on sale in May.
