Earlier this month, when Motorola officially introduced the Defy Mini XT320, it said that the handset would be launched in Europe, Latin America, and China. So, no mention of North America.
However, the Defy Mini has been approved by the FCC today, with WCDMA 850 and 1900 connectivity in tow - hence it may be released by AT&T in the US, or by Canada's largest mobile carriers. We'll let you know if we hear anything official about this.
The Motorola Defy Mini is dust and water resistant, and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Its features include a 3.2 inch Gorilla Glass display with 480 x 320 pixels, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 3MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB).
