The updates, they just come pouring in these days. No to be outdone by Verizon or AT&T, Sprint also has a couple of updates up its sleeves – for the HTC Evo Shift 4G and the Samsung Replenish. Neither of these updates is anything big like, you know, Ice Cream Sandwich, but they're still probably worth installing anyway.
The HTC Evo Shift 4G is getting a security update, alongside an updated version of HTC Peep (the company's built-in social networking client), as well as much needed battery life improvements. The update will make your Evo Shift 4G run software version 2.77.651.3. The Samsung Replenish, on the other hand, only gets some security patches brought to it by the FA19 update.
The update is already rolling out over-the-air for the Replenish. If your phone hasn't yet received the notification that the update is available, then know that the rollout will take a few days to complete.
For the HTC Evo Shift 4G, the update notification will start showing up on February 7. However, if you're impatient you can manually check for the update right now and it should be there waiting for you.
